I Bet Many Wives Don’t Know That Their Hubbies Are Bankrupt. Women, Check Before You Spend

I Bet Many Wives Don’t Know That Their Hubbies Are Bankrupt. Women, Check, Before You Spend Dan Majestic writes: I bet you that lots of women don’t yet know that their hubbies have no money left and that they are actually living on borrowed time – on cash coming off credit cards and on their last remaining savings. Because I see a lot of well-dressed women out and about in shops in London, buying things apparently without a care in the world and generally having a prosperous air about them.

There are still quite a lot of them driving about in their giant four-by-fours or BMWs and Mercedeses, with that purposeful expression on their faces, as if they are very busy, i.e. mostly shopping and having lunches and teas with their girlfriends.

Women, beware! The financial crisis has been hitting the City of London and other financial centres since as far back as 2006, and even earlier. The huge losses of banks and other institutions have been accumulating in the financial sector for quite some time. So there is a very strong possibility that your husbands, or live-in partners, have already lost everything, including the family’s savings that were tied up in risky schemes in America, Russia, Iceland or some other land of golden opportunities.

Ladies, you might already be technically bankrupt and, by sticking to your customary spending habits, you may be getting into even more debt. Your menfolk may have already lost their jobs and are just pretending that they are still employed, hoping that things will work out somehow. They might have even been quietly taking unsecured loans, using their previous good credit ratings, and treating you to some fancy presents and dinners at expensive restaurants just to keep up appearances and convince you that things were still going well for them.

I suggest that you start watching your men more closely, to spot any signs of trouble. Small things can tell you, ladies, that there is something wrong. For example, your man might be experiencing sudden attacks of sadness and gloom. He could be drinking more than usual or smoking too much. Or he could be going through mood swings and fall into sudden bouts of rejoicing for no apparent reason. Or he might be losing his previously endless enthusiasm in the bedroom.

All these and other signs could point to depression caused by financial worries. Or even by impending bankruptcy.

So all of you four-by-four-driving Prada and Dior-clad women: pay attention to what I am saying here: you might be in serious trouble, so you should better confront your husbands, or partners, and get them to tell you the truth. However gloomy it may turn out to be, it would still be better to know it now and stop blowing what little money you have left. And take preventive measures. Like selling the house or asking your parents to bail you out.

Because if you wait, and your menfolk wait too, and the bailiffs suddenly knock at your door one morning, it would not be a nice situation, now would it?

So act now, all you women who spend money as if there was no recession. Beware – an urgent change of lifestyle could be urgently needed.

– End –

As a woman, who knows every financial crisis possible, I wish I could say that we, as women, have moved passed dependence on men, but the truth is we’re too lazy. And those men are idiots, money, or credit cards, can’t buy love.
