Parents Beware: There’s A War Being Waged Against Your Kids!

July 2, 2009

Beware: There Is A War being Waged Against Your Children! I call upon all parents to wake up: beware, THEY are turning your children into sexed up semi-literate shopaholics, hooked on junk food, fizzy drinks, violent films and PC games.

Yes, that is what their game is and you’d better do something about it before it is too late. You are probably wondering who I mean by ‘they’? Well, let me tell you about them: they are everywhere and they target your kids from the earliest age possible. They are cunning and manipulative, they pretend that they mean well, but most importantly – they bank on you not to really show too much interest in your children. Because parents who care about their kids – and I exclude here those slobs who take no notice of their offspring once they are born – pose the greatest of dangers to them by shielding their children from their nasty influence.

They are, first of all, the advertisers and marketing men, the disgusting people who target children the moment they begin to understand what is happening around them. They are slick and manipulative, these individuals. They know how to get kids hooked: from toys to junk food, to clothes, glossy mags and all kinds of stupid gadgets. Admen and merketing men are evil wizards and many children fall under their spell from the earliest age.

And then there are publishers who peddle so-called ‘children’s literature’ that contains all the wrong messages. Under the guise of fairy tales or exciting adventure stories badly written titles are flooding the market, promoting violence and black magic, mocking family life and turning children against their parents. Publishers claim that it is all just a bit a fun. But don’t you fall for their tricks: many of these books are harming your children, because kids are very impressionable and absorb all the information they are given, without realising what is good and what is not for them. That is why it is so crucial to choose books for your children that carry positive messages in them.

You may ask: but how can I tell which books are good and which ones are not? Well, you might at least glance through them before you buy them, because it is often so easy to tell whether the book is any good by reading the first few pages. And if you are still confused, why not turn to classics: Chronicles of Narnia, Alice in Wonderland, The Little Prince, fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen. These and quite a few others are all safe bets and they would make all those Harry Potters and Dark Materials seem dull and boring to your kids.

But an even bigger danger awaits your children when they start watching television and playing computer games regularly. And you, of course, do not mind: because it keeps them occupied for hours and allows you to enjoy yourself. And at some point you, being a caring parent, even put a TV set into your child’s bedroom and add a PC, with headphones, so that your kid comes out only to have a quick bite to eat and get back to watching films or playing computer games.

It is a very high price to pay for some peace and quiet in the house. A very high price indeed. Because while you are having all that time to yourself irresponsible TV producers and scriptwriters ferociously attack your children, promoting bad taste and promiscuity, ridiculing decency and portraying family life as if it were some hideous abnormality. Have you ever seen the sort of children’s TV programmes they come up with nowadays? No? Well, you’d better have a look at them. Even the cartoons they make are weird and unpleasant. The supposedly lovable characters in them look like degenerates, with hideous features, who beat the crap out of each other for no particular reason. And as for children’s TV dramas – they are full of sexual innuendoes and negative images of grown up.

But the worst poison for your children comes in computer games. First of all, they are a total waste of time. I repeat, a total waste of time. Secondly, they contain graphic violence which can only harm impressionable minds. Thirdly, they are extremely addictive. Fourthly, they peddle all the wrong messages. And, finally, as one of my good friends says, how do you like my previous four points?

And have you ever glanced through the glossy magazines for youngsters? Well you should, because they are often run by people who are convinced that most children are obsessed with sex and shopping and celebrities. Being an idiot is seen as an advantage and spending hours in front of the box or a PC is treated as perfectly normal. Kids who read books and want to know things are looked at as ‘nerds’ and ‘weirdoes’. Those who smoke, drink and hang out doing nothing are seen as cool.

Fashion designers are in this game too. They want your children to become slaves of fashion and wear ridiculous outfits simply because they are considered cool. They want them to crave for labels, to be prepared to beg, steal or borrow to buy some latest stupid piece of clothing. The message they pedal is this: you are not cool if you don’t wear designer clothes. Or, as I have seen recently in one department store: ‘You shop therefore you exist.’ Sound like some Nazi propaganda slogan, doesn’t it?

Drinking and casual sex have been quietly promoted among children for quite some time. It is done very cleverly, through films, books, pop songs, glossy magazines, computer games. It is not in your face promotion. Oh no. It is quite cunning and clever. It is about projecting an image of what being cool is all about. Mark my words, they are planning to make their big move soon and get the age of consent lowered to 14. Because that’s what they need to get more youngsters sucked into the circle of vice. That creep, Tony Blair, wanted to do it but his popularity nosedived so much that he did not dare to proceed with it. But make no mistake – they won’t give up on this easily.

And then there are there role models for children who are heavily promoted by the media: film and TV actors, soap stars, models, footballers and sportsmen generally, celebrities with nothing to their credit. Why? Why should children model themselves on actors – these grey non-entities who can’t string a sentence together if it has not been written for them by somebody else? Or why should they be like footballers – overpaid brainless thugs who can’t even push the ball properly most of the time? People go into sports because they are not good at anything else. So why would anyone make such a fuss about them? Or about the celebs, who stand for nothing and basically do nothing?

And, finally, there is the music industry that is playing all the wrong notes when it comes to young audiences. Have you tried listening to the lyrics of some of the hits? They all seem to rotate around the crotch or booze and drugs. Young dimwits are propelled to stardom on the back of one single and are encouraged by their producers to push the boundaries and shock their fans as much as possible. And with the stupid songs come the outrageous lifestyles, with all the drinking and drug taking and promiscuity. Because that is how pop stars are supposed to appeal to the young fans.

So what is this war against your children all about? You have not guessed it yet? No? Well, it is all about making money. The whole point is to brainwash as many people as possible, from the earliest age possible, into becoming devoted buyers of all sorts of goods and services. Because the best consumers are those who have no taste, no opinion of their own, who read worthless junk, have a wrong set of priorities in life and who are hooked on booze and sex. You can sell them anything; even if they don’t need what it is that you are selling.

And now that you know this how do you go about protecting your children? You take an interest in what they do, spend time with them, talk to them, find out what interests them. You constantly educate yourself to educate your children. You help them choose the right books and shield them from the bad influence of television, films and computers. And, most importantly, you ridicule the enemy. Because that is you most powerful weapon: ridicule is something that these money grabbers cannot withstand? Laugh at them, mock at them, belittle them. They are weak and they are pathetic in their lust to enrich themselves. And they retreat at the first sign of resistance. Proper resistance, that is.

So go on, stand up to them! Protect your children.
