Tony Blair Becoming EU President? Two Considerations Come To Mind

Tony Blair Becoming EU President? Two Considerations Come To MindThomas Mathew writes: Two considerations come to mind when confronted with the prospect of seeing former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, getting appointed to the post of the first ever President of the European Union.

First of all, if the 27 EU leaders elect him under the terms of the Lisbon treaty, they would basically be showing their total contempt not only for the people of Britain, where Blair is hated and despised like no other living politician, but for all the Europeans as a whole, as in all honesty in political terms Blair is seriously damaged goods. He is no world statesman and no outstanding politician, and never has been one. He is a chancer and an opportunist, who used every vile trick in the book to sneak into parliament and then become leader of the Labour party and, consecutively, Prime Minister. He was always about spin and never about substance, changing his views if it suited him and stealing the policies of his opponents to confuse the electorate. Blair was terrified of being revealed as the fraud he was and even his so-called religiousness was only a smoke screen to cover up his total lack of any principles and morals. Blair was as religious as a Nazi is tolerant to non-whites.

Furthermore, Tony Blair did more than anyone else to split and antagonise Europe by his siding with former U.S. President George Bush in pushing through the illegal war in Iraq. It is amazing that anyone in Europe with any sense of decency in them would even contemplate appointing Blair to the post of the EU President. Just because small groups of vested interest that support Blair want him to return to the world stage does not mean that the vast majority should let them get away with it.

I can also understand why the discredited Labour government in Britain is trying hard to push through Blair to become the EU President. If this disgusting man gets there, he will undoubtedly start inviting his Labour buddies to join him. Labour ministers know this very well, and that is why they are promoting him and saying that he is the best possible candidate for the job. Labour’s top brass have always been preoccupied with their own careers and nothing else. These are people, who were never really suitable for being in government in the first place. Many of them are former communists, who are no better in their ideological stance than the fascists that they say they deplore. Make no mistake, communists and fascists are very close to each other when it comes to their nasty methods and their hatred for their opponents.

But having said all that, another consideration comes to mind regarding Blair’s possible elevation to the post of the President of Europe: he is probably the right man to represent the EU that epitomises everything that is corrupt and inept about today’s politics. The unelected bureaucrats, who run the EU, have done everything possible to turn a trade and economic block into a tight political alliance that is taking away national sovereignty from its member states. The Brussels mafia imposed a constitution on the people of Europe, disguising it as the ‘Lisbon treaty’ that it supposedly needed to run a new enlarged EU. That makes the people in Brussels very similar to Blair in their ideological stance, i.e. that they really have no ideals or views and are only driven by their lust for power. Which in itself makes them look like communists and their beloved EU like the former Soviet Union. And just like the Soviet Union, the EU will crumble and fall apart in not so distant future because any alliance based on lies and more lies never survives the test of time.

So, if you take into account the second consideration, you might just as well conclude that Blair is, in a perverted sense, the perfect candidate for the job. The only thing is that this man is so vile and disgusting that even with this in mind you still do not want to see him coming back.
