Research Shows Men Object Most To Bad Acting And Weak Story Lines In Porn
Ben Delicious writes from London: Sensational new research reveals that the majority of men who devote a lot of their time to watching porn object most of all to the bad acting and weak story lines in porn films, forcing them to read graphic porn novels for children that are very often just too heavy to hold in one hand for extended periods of time.
More than two thirds of the respondents, who took part in the survey conducted by Stirring Trouble together with the University of Moscow-on-the-Thames, complained that bad acting in porn films was a major turn off for them. ‘Who needs to look at hot chicks with huge jugs, getting it off with some blokes with bulging muscles and enormous dicks, when there’s no proper acting involved,’ one of the respondents, Sam Bendit , told researchers. ‘Where’s the drama and the excitement of the chase, the foreplay and the dialogues that have always made porn so appealing to so many people?’
Bad acting has been cited by 70 per cent of the men who took part in the survey as the main reason they had to spend more time getting aroused and successfully reaching the climax. Some have complained that they often failed to perform well, confronted with unimpressive performances of actors involved in scenes involving penetrational sex, and over a third said that unoriginal plots involving traditional sexual positions and no foreplay and pillow talk have not really excited them to the extent that they were expecting. ‘I want to see the men and women in porn having meaningful conversations before they get down to it,’ Adam Flexible said. ‘Show me the gritty social reality that brought these people together for an anal, for example. I like to know what they do when they are not shagging each other silly.’
Although the average time spent on porn websites a week differs for different age groups, the survey showed that the under 20s, for example, usually log on for multiple slots of three to five minutes, while over 50s tend to hang on for longer periods, sometimes staying logged on for two hours and more. On average the majority of respondents, 90 per cent, said they devoted about 10 hours a week to watching porn on the web, with only a handful, 9 per cent, saying they were spending around 100 hours at it.
Nearly 90 per cent of respondents confirmed the long held belief that men watch porn mostly for purely educational and aesthetic purposes, with masturbation coming a distant third reason. Half of the men surveyed said they would like to meet some of the women they see in porn films and clips and start a meaningful relationship with them. A quarter said they have been sending emails into the unknown in the hope that they will be received by the favourite porn stars.
On the whole it was a totally unnecessary survey that proved nothing, but as everyone is talking about porn now, even the BBC, we at Stirring Trouble thought you might be interested to hear about it.
