President Obama Should Keep His Cool And Do Absolutely Nothing. And Win In November
Dan Majestic writes from Washington: As US President Barack Obama makes one mistake after another – the latest one was the disastrous decision to introduce sanctions against countries that buy oil from Iran – we repeat the advice we gave him on this website not so long ago: please, Mr President, keep your cool and don’t do anything until November. And win comfortably, especially as your most likely opponent, Mitt Romney, is the Republican’s party secret weapon designed to lose the race for the White House. Yes, Mr President, in case you haven’t noticed it, the Republicans have taken a principled decision to lose the presidential election this year and let you battle the economic crisis. Think about it: who would want to move into a house that’s on fire?
At the moment President Obama is being advised by his people to continue raising election funds, in order to reach the magic mark of $1 billion. These disgusting people with shifty eyes and sweaty palms are telling their boss that the contest is wide open and that Romney has a good chance of winning. And the reason why they say this is simple: they want the president to get all paranoid so that they can exercise more control over him and have access to huge campaign funds that they will misuse to their heart’s content and then, after Obama wins, claim that it was all down to their brilliance that it happened and demand rewards.
The most worrying development came when President Obama succumbed to the pressure from the left-wing loonies in his Administration and got involved in the so-called ‘race row’ that had supposedly erupted after the tragic death of the black youngster Trayvon Martin. There was no need for him to come out with inflammatory comments about the shooting, especially as the investigation into the incident has not yet been concluded. Mr Obama should ignore the advice of all sorts of lowlifes to play the race card in his election campaign. He must understand one simple thing: when America has a black president and practices positive discrimination all over the place talking about racism on the rise is a bit rich, to put it mildly.
President Obama, who has just concluded an uneventful visit to the Asia-Pacific region, should take comfort from history that demonstrates with all clarity that politicians, who did nothing during their time in high office, are held in very high regard. Great American leaders like John Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George Bush and many, many others were well known for their laid back approach to their duties, preferring to chase chicks, battle alcohol addictions or spend most of the time relaxing and watching the box.
But despite the obvious proof that doing nothing in office works wonders for the occupiers, Mr Obama seems to be under an impression that he needs to do something. And that is a recipe for disaster because when politicians do things, they usually get them wrong. And Mr Obama is making a lot of mistakes at the moment.
The one thing I would advise President Obama, if he gets the jitters before the election date, is to adopt a baby, or even two, and watch his ratings go through the ceiling. And if he is still not comfortable, he could launch his own band, The Black White House Boys, and record a track on the Motown label called Winning It. And win.
But I stress once again that Mr Obama must do nothing when it comes to his direct responsibilities. Because that is how things work in politics. The non-doers win all the time.
