Ben Delicious writes from Cairo: Some Spring it turned out to be, eh? I mean the Arab Spring that was greeted with such delight by liberals in the West, who seem to be under the impression that every upheaval that happens across the world nowadays is a welcome step on the road to democracy and freedom and more democracy and more freedom and blah, blah, blah. No time for slow political reform for these people. It’s all about rebellion – and the more the merrier.

Anyway, the liberals and the West generally were taken for a ride by the Islamists in the Arab world, who have learnt a valuable lesson from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan: talk a lot about democracy and you will get whatever you want. And so they did and lots of people fell for it, supporting the mobs of so-called ‘pro-democracy protesters’ on the streets of Tunis, Benghazi, Tripoli, Cairo and Sana’a. Inarticulate badly educated ruffians were falling over each other, telling Western hacks how they were prepared to die for freedom and, laughably, human rights. And the West bought this, even though most of the countries in question were still living in the Middle Ages at best.

And now we have a hellish scenario of the Middle East and North Africa being run by Muslim fanatics, who hate the infidel West and would love to see it burn. Where were all the so-called experts on the Arab world and Islam? Where were the advisors to heads of Western state and governments who are supposed to tell their bosses the way things are and not the way they want to see them? And where were the spooks, who demand more and more money for their covert operations and yet fail to produce any forecast? Lastly, where was common sense in the corridors of power that are now inhabited by liberal minded politicians who seem to be more preoccupied with irrelevant matters than tackling the real problems?

So let’s run quickly through the blossoms of the Arab Spring. Tunisia that had been the most progressive country in the whole of North Africa and the Middle East is now experiencing the wonders of Sharia Law. Libya that was previously the most prosperous nation in the region is now run by thugs, who fight it out with each other and terrorise the population. Egypt has received a President who is a hardened Islamist. Yemen has been turned by Al Qaeda into its new power base and Syria is in the midst of a civil war that has been the result of interference from abroad. Not to mention that in all countries Christian and other religious minorities are being pushed out of their homes or simply killed.

Make no mistake, Western politicians stand accused of not only falling for the con that was pulled off by Islamists. They are also guilty of pouring petrol on the fire for the simple purpose of distracting attention of their domestic audiences from the economic mess in their own countries. It didn’t work, obviously, as the crisis is way too deep, but attempts were made anyway.

And the conclusion? Well, as long as the West will adopt political correctness and double standards as its official policy there will be more trouble flaring up and it will eventually come to Europe itself, with riots spreading across the continent. The time of liberals running things has to end. They have failed miserably. Time for common sense to be restored. Or we’ll all perish. –End–

   President Barack Hussein Obama was well aware of what the result would be when he abandoned long time US Ally Hosni Mubarak. The lessons of the so called Palestinian free & fair elections forced on Israel by Pres. George Bush were not lost on those who seek to push the Marxist internationalist one world govt. idea, with chaos,war, famine and economic ruin as a precondition to the Marxist elites gaining power as democracy collapses. The outcome of the Palestinian election was never in doubt, with Hamas winning, and yet Bush was blind to this as today are most elected western leaders. The international left-wing western media is a tool, a “usefull idiot” in blinding public opinion to what is actually going on, having falsely painted the Islamists as seeking democracy when the exact opposite was intended. Slowly, as the truth emerges, people in the west are waking up, smelling the coffee, but it is already too late. With the large Muslim population already in place throughout Western Europe the future for democracy looks to be in the balance, especially if Obama is re-elected and the EU eventually expands to include Turkey.
