OK, Girls, So You Say Men Think About Sex A Lot. But Why Tease Them Then?
Anton Goryunov writes from Moscow: Women claim that men think about sex much more than they do. Some insist that men think about sex every five seconds or so. The idea in this is that females can control their sexual desires while men basically resemble animals when it comes to intercourse. Some liberated chicks even say that most men are potential rapists who would not think twice before mounting a woman they hardly know or don’t know at all.
So here’s the deal: how is it that women, supposedly knowing about men’s horny nature, provoke them even more by going round in all that revealing stuff, showing off way too much of their flesh? What is the message here, I would like to know. What is the game behind this semi-nudity and risqué dress sense? It can’t be that women show off their assets for no reason at all, can it? There has to be something more to it.
I suspect women also think about sex a lot. Maybe even more often than men. Maybe even most of the time. Otherwise how would you explain that they like to dress up as if they are going on the pull when they go out. And the readiness to reveal lots of flesh is there and the heavy make-up is there as well. This can’t be something unintentional, can it? It’s not as if women spend hours ‘spicing themselves up’ for no reason whatsoever. Chicks crave attention and they show it. And it makes life even harder for men who would rather talk about football or fancy cars or politics, if it were not for all those distractions all over the place.
Which brings me to the rather bizarre tendency among women to make a huge effort to look sexy and glamorous and desirable when they go out but not really bothering to tempt their men at home in the same way? Yes, that is one big mystery, if you ask me. Any woman in a relationship, especially in a long-term one, needs to understand that her man is confronted by all that exciting imagery out there, with other females gunning for him, showing off their best parts presented in the most tempting way. And while she herself joins the sisterhood on that ‘catwalk of life’ when she goes out herself, looking hot and desirable in front of perfect strangers, back at home she makes little or no effort to please her dominant male with some ‘creative packaging’, if you pardon the vulgar expression.
Strange, these female behavioural patterns. You would think they’d be trying hard to keep their man interested. But no, it’s the males that don’t matter who get all the juicy images.
Go figure, eh?

Nice. Keep articles like this coming, love reading them
that’s the thing about the “modern-day female”. they want to have all their cake and eat it. they want to dress skimpily but yet they dont want men to oogle them. how does that work? i dont know.
its like smearing yourself with blood and lowering yourself into a cage full of lions and then expecting the lions not to eat you. i’m not sure how that even makes sense.
plus. everything about this “liberated female” thing is not liberating at all. women think they can dress like sluts and be taken seriously, but the irony is by doing so they are just being viewed as sex objects. everything about the “liberated female” is just plain narcissism. look at the typical girl’s argument for why they wear such skimpy clothing. 1) i want to look good because i like looking at myself. 2) i want to look good so others will look at me. so which one is it? both? and no, temperature or whatever isn’t an answer because the men out there aren’t wearing such skimpy clothing. so yeah.
Just hold on and take a closer look at your primary picture of the bottle blonde – see those figures standing less than a stones throw away? Now tell me, Are they dressed like whores?
No they are not, because not every single ‘chick’ dresses like a slut – no more than 1-in-20 girls do*. But no matter where, what or when – people always seem to walk away only remembering the scantily clad pair of girls linking arms, laughing like hyenas. Forgetting all about the 20 other women you brushed shoulders with. Y’know? The normal ones?
Thats me in that ‘other’ 20. On my way to work. That’s my mother. Doing the weekly shopping. That’s my 13 year old sister. Going to the cinema. With her friends. We walk down the streets just like everybody else, so where am I in your statistics of these ‘modern-day women’?
I am so very tired of hearing people group all kinds of girls together, WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME. The only thing girls all have in common is the second X chromosome.
When has wearing heavy makeup counted as being provocative? As a professional makeup artist I can assure you the most common worry of my clients is being seen as a freak, there is always something to ‘fix’ with makeup. Not to ‘tempt’ men but not to be viciously judged, because they feel they have eyes that are too small/ a nose too big/ uneven skin tone or heaven forbid, teenage acne scars.
My partner could never understand the “summer crash diet”, even now many men don’t. Nobody wants to be that girl with cellulite, it’s a real life lions cage. People leave in tears, and it’s not just what cattish women have said – men can be so bitchy. I have heard the most horrible things said about ugly girls – by a group of average blokes. They thought it quite funny but that girl didn’t pick her facial features.
If we even start on how the terms ‘feminist’ or ‘liberated’ have become defiled by phonies needing a nobler reason for their promiscuous behaviour. I could go on all day, it is so infuriating to have ideas and movements I feel passionately about being so widely misunderstood because of the average bimbo (who is now somehow representing the whole of womankind).
There have quite simply always been stupid people, men and women alike – so why we are suddenly so shocked by the local trash queen flashing her junk? I suppose we have never had an age where harlots were so glamourized, particularly when we find copycats at the tender age of 12. With Kesha, Paris and Snooki fans appearing from nowhere it can be easy to miss the 18 year old who isn’t a porn star, but that doesn’t make it acceptable. I’m 19 and I am not a porn star nor do I dress like one. I am not a minority.
*=It will of course differ depending on the location (i.e. Brazil will not have the same statistics as Saudi Arabia); the time of day; seasonal weather differences; etc.
