Dan Majestic reports from Washington: Jon Stewart of The Daily Show and the whole cast of Saturday Night Live should look away. A follow-up has arrived to the ‘scandal’ that broke out after a clown at a rodeo at the Missouri State Fair had worn an Obama mask and, at one point, the audience was asked whether they would like to see ‘President Obama’ run down by a bull. It has now transpired that from now on all riders and clowns attending rodeos in Missouri would be forced to undergo ‘sensitivity training’, if they want to participate in them.
This is like a sketch from a comedy show that would have looked hilarious on the box, if not for the strict rules imposed by the deranged members of the politically correct mafia, who call all the shots in the world of entertainment and broadcasting in America these days. (I’m sorry, but Murdoch’s Fox is as bloody liberal as the rest and plugs leftie filth like there’s no tomorrow.)
In an ideal world US chat-show hosts like Jay Leno and David Letterman should have invited the rodeo clown from Missouri to their programmes and had some fun at the expense of Mr Obama, who actually needs reminding that he is not exactly doing a great job as president. But this would be deemed as too offensive by the crazed liberals, who want only Republicans and right-wingers to be portrayed in a funny light, while staying away from the ‘great intellectual’ who occupies the White House. .
To remind out readers how it all developed, a vigilant member of the public armed with a camera filmed the ‘deeply offensive incident’ and posted in on the web. Later he complained that he felt as if he was taking part in a KKK gathering, gripped by fear and barely holding back the tears.
In no time the US Democratic Senator for Missouri, Claire McCaskill, got involved in the row, announcing that she was deeply offended by the disrespect that ‘harmed the President of our great nation.’ The liberal media picked up this non-story and turned it into a full-blown race row.
Unfortunately organisers of the Missouri State Fair felt compelled to explain that the incident was inappropriate, adding it did not reflect the usual high standards of the popular event. Later the announcer, Mark Ficken, who suggested that ‘President Obama’ should be run down by a bull, was forced to resign for no apparent reason from his post of president of the Missouri Cowboy Rodeo Association. If this was reason enough for him to go then I could list a number of reasons why Mr Obama should have been out of his job a long time ago, including that scandal with the IRS pestering Republican groups before the last presidential election. If that was not Obama’s ‘watergate’ moment then Bill Clinton’s lying on oath about ‘that woman’ was just a petty misdemeanour.
Still, with censorship like that who is surprised that crap like The Daily Show and Saturday Night Live are so bland and unfunny.
