We keep on waiting for some huge disaster to occur and wipe out our civilization, but in reality, if you think about it, the end of the world would probably have nothing to do with devastating earthquakes, colliding planets or massive floods. It would be all about the total collapse of the inner world of mankind, of morality and decency and respect for others and for true values. What would be the point of technological advancement if the people who would be benefitting from it would have no inner peace and no moral compass to guide them?
