We Present Another One Of Stalin’s Favourite Dishes: The Famous Russian Mince Cakes.

Today we present another dish that was a favourite of Joseph Stalin, the famous Russian mince cakes, kotlety. Simple in preparation, it is probably one of the most popular dishes in Russia still. In the Russian cookery books translated into English the mince cakes are often mistakenly referred to as ‘beef cutlets’ or just ‘cutlets’, a name that sounds very confusing for a Western ear. It is actually a sort of a hamburger, if you like, only thicker.Ingredients: half a kilo of beef mince, 250 grams of pork mince, 250 grams of lamb mince. Three slices of white bread.
